The Clinton County Humane Society was founded in 2003, first in an existing building and then in a shelter built in 2006 on Fife Avenue in Wilmington, Ohio, from privately donated funds. It is a no-kill, 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. We have adopted more than 9,900 animals since the group began. The Clinton County Humane Society does not receive taxpayer funding, and it depends on donations to fund the shelter. Because the shelter is staffed by volunteers, based on their varying schedules, adoptions are by appointment.
