About Us
Cochise Canine Rescue takes senior and "special needs" (handicapped, chronically ill) animals from euthanasia lists at regional municipal shelters. While we occasionally have adoptable animals that we can place, the majority are not adoptable and remain in "sanctuary" with CCR. CCR currently has 34 dogs and 7 cats in residence on 5 acres. Many of our animals are seniors - blind, deaf, chronically ill. Other animals have or have had cancer, Valley Fever, only three legs, and other health issues.
From time to time CCR also accepts "farmed" animals facing slaughter and/or homelessness. There are currently 3 sheep, 1 goat, 2 cows and two donkeys in residence.
