About Us
Coco's Animal Rescue Efforts of Seymour (CARES) is a non-profit 501c3 organization run entirely by dedicated volunteers. Our mission is to provide temporary shelter to abandoned and surrendered cats and dogs until we can find them loving new homes. In addition, we do our best to break down the stereotypes of many "bully breeds" and we work to end pet overpopulation and the suffering of unwanted animals by promoting and educating about spaying and neutering. In addition, due to the overwhelming need from our community, we have expanded our efforts to help with feral cats. We trap, spay and neuter, vaccinate, and provide medical care for these feral cats. During their recovery at our facility, if we find that the cats can be socialized and adopted out, we do so. For the other cats, we release them back to their original location if it is safe.Find Us
