About Us

For the Love of Dogs was founded to help abandoned dogs and those surrendered by families that could no longer care for them. Over the years we started to focus on smaller senior and special needs dogs. Many of our dogs come from loving homes, but when the owners can no longer care for them, there is no one in the family who wants them. Most of our dogs are at least 12-14 years old, and our oldest little guy is almost 18. Many of them will be with us for the rest of their lives as many people don't want to adopt a dog that they not have very long.
