About Us
The mission of Forget-Me-Not is to save the lives of hard-to-place pets (e.g., bully breeds, seniors, special needs, injured, and pregnant mothers) that are impounded in local kill shelters and at risk for euthanasia and homeless pets in the community. The majority of the pets in our rescue are saved after being abandoned or surrendered to kill shelters in and around Manatee County, Florida. We provide veterinary care, rehabilitation when needed, and a safe environment at our kennels or in foster homes for shelter pets to decompress. Our pets are adopted to loving, forever families. We require a pre-adoption contract for screening. If approved, then completion of the adoption contract. $100 adoption fee. We require the pet to be returned to us if the adopter has to give the pet up for any reason.
