About Us

Our primary purpose is to provide rescue, rehabilitation, and sanctuary for horses at risk of needless slaughter at kill pens and auctions. To date, we have saved Roman, a 12-year-old Belgian draft horse sent to the kill market in Louisiana, and Artax, a Percheron mix that was used for entertainment in the rodeo circuits of Oklahoma and the Dakotas before being forfeited to auction and marked for slaughter. We provide sanctuary for both animals and are now their forever home. Our immediate goal is to expand operations so that we can save additional horses, provide rehabilitative care and find their forever homes.
