Friends of Chicago Animal Care and Control is the nonprofit group committed exclusively to helping save the lives of over 19,000 animals that come into custody of Chicago Animal Care and Control each year.
We do that by:
*Providing food, medical care and adoption opportunities for CACC animals in our foster program.
*Due to our After Hours Crisis Care Program, serious cases of animal illness, neglect, abuse, and accidents that come in after the city shelter’s veterinarians have left for the day are rushed to an emergency service for immediate care. Many are given major life-saving care on the spot.
