About Us
Founded in 2002, Furkids is an Atlanta-area nonprofit organization that operates the largest cage-free, no-kill cat shelter in the Southeast, along with Sadie’s Place, a no-kill shelter for dogs. The Furkids mission is to rescue homeless animals and provide them with the best medical care and nurturing environment, while working to find them a forever home. Furkids heals the whole animal, physically and emotionally, restoring its health and spirit. We also operate an interstate transport program that has saved over 2,000 animals since March, 2018. Furkids has rescued and altered more than 35,000 animals since its founding.
