About Us
Gratiot Animals in Need (G.A.I.N) is committed to improving the lives of pets and free roaming community cats in Mid-Michigan. We provide numerous resources to help pet owners keep their pets at home--and out of the shelter. Our pet food bank is utilized by senior citizen and lower income pet owners. Many are on a fixed income and from time to time cannot afford pet food. We strive to ensure no pet goes hungry when their owners' finances are limited. Our foster and adoption program typically helps find loving homes for over 300 cats and kittens every year. We also provide financial assistance to low income pet owners for veterinary care and spay/neuter services.
