About Us
The Hart County Humane Society works in conjunction with the Northeast Georgia Animal Shelter to end the need to euthanize healthy animals due to lack of space or time. This takes a village of volunteers! In fact, we are an all volunteer, all donation, 501(c) 3 non-profit animal rescue organization. We receive no funding from taxes or other sources. We passionately work every day to end the euthanizing of adoptable shelter animals. Animals who are turned in to the Animal Shelter but are not adopted or rescued by other organizations come to us.
