About Us
Heading Home K9 Rescue was started in March of 2011 with the plan of rescuing dogs from both our local shelters as well as through partnerships with high kill shelters out of state. We have a soft spot for the dogs that others are most likely to pass over: puppy mills, seniors, big black mixed breeds, and animals who have been injured. Our dogs are fostered in individual foster homes, not a facility. Because our dogs live in foster homes rather than a shelter, we know them well and are able to make sure that a perfect match is made between the dog and its new home. A huge thanks goes out to our many volunteers and foster homes, without them we wouldn't be here!Find Us
