About Us

At Heartland Animal Rescue, our mission is to rescue, rehabilitate, and rehome animals in need while promoting responsible pet ownership and reducing pet overpopulation in our communities. We are committed to giving every animal—regardless of age, breed, or background—a second chance at life through compassionate care, medical treatment, and behavioral support. We strive to provide a safe haven for animals who have been surrendered, abandoned, or transferred from overcrowded shelters and other rescue organizations. Through dedicated foster homes, veterinary care, and adoption programs, we work to prepare each animal for a successful transition into a loving, permanent home. Our mission also extends to education and advocacy. We believe that lasting change comes from informing and supporting the community on responsible adoption, spay and neuter practices, and humane animal care. By combining rescue efforts with public awareness, we aim to reduce unnecessary suffering.
