Welcome to High Country Basset Hound Rescue (HCBHR). We are a non-profit 501c3 organization dedicated to the welfare and helping abandoned/unwanted Basset Hounds in Colorado. Bassets come to us for numerous reasons; whether it be employment relocation, owner dies and extended family doesn't want them, picked up as strays and never claimed at the shelter, new baby, irresponsible breeding, just getting old, abused and/or neglected, and the list goes on. We are solely run by amazing volunteers who all share a common bond helping to save these Basset Hounds.Find Us
