About Us
Hokie's Hounds Beagle Rescue Prairieville, LA is a 501(c)3 organization founded in Nov. 2002 dedicated to the rescue, care & rehoming of homeless beagles. Hokie's Hounds is an all volunteer organization. We do not have a "bricks and mortar" shelter, so our animals stay in foster homes. Our adoption process includes an application, contract, and adoption fee, which is typically $150.00. Most of our animals have been spayed/neutered prior to adoption. They have all been vet checked. We encourage "meet and greet" opportunities, and we welcome your other dogs, children, etc. to come along when meeting a prospective companion animal. We also offer trial adoptions.
