About Us
HART (Homeless Animal Rescue Team) of Maine is a no-kill shelter and adoption center for cats in Cumberland, Maine. HART’s mission is to provide refuge, comfort, and comprehensive medical attention for all cats that have been surrendered, abandoned, injured or abused–and to find appropriate community placements for them. HART is a primarily volunteer-run organization that provides a safe refuge to hundreds of homeless cats each year. We receive no public funding, but rather rely solely on the support of individual donors to help rescue and provide shelter for these innocent animals.Find Us
