Hood River Adopt A Dog is the 501(c) 3 non-profit organization that provides a safety net to Dogs of the Gorge. With a dedicated small staff and AMAZING volunteers and foster families we work closely with the Hood River County Sheriff's Office to provide every dog housed in the Hukari Animal Shelter high quality care during his or her stay while searching for their lost owners. For those dogs that enter our program, either via owner or county surrender, we provide a selective and successful adoption service.
Since our inception in mid-2007, HRAAD has cared for hundreds of canine shelter guests at an average of 350 per year.
