About Us
Horse Rescue United (HRU) is a small 501(c)(3) non-profit New Jersey animal rescue with a focus on rescuing horses of all breeds, specializing in Standardbred horses. We sometimes assist small animals like dogs or cats when able. Over the past 14 years, HRU has assisted over 80 horses and a handful of cats and dogs. Most of the horses we save are owner surrenders in danger of entering the slaughter pipeline. Many of the animals are neglected and some have been abused.Find Us
