About Us

HOWS Project focuses on improving the lives and wellbeing of outside dogs in Charlottesville (VA) and surrounding counties, who otherwise tend to fall through the cracks of the law, shelters, and rescue organizations. We provide improved outside shelters, bedding, no-tip water buckets, walking leashes, sturdy nylon collars, stainless steel food bowls, flea/tick medication, dog food, dog toys; we also offer spay/neuter services, medical care on a case by case basic, fencing to get dogs off the chain, and surrender care options.
