We are a group of citizens working to get an animal shelter reopened in our community. Our shelter is located in Chariton, Iowa, but serves both Lucas and Wayne counties. We have the same tax ID, but are in the process of changing our name from Humane Society of Lucas County to Almost Home Animal Rescue.
