The K9 Bane Hero Foundation began in 2022 as a grass roots funding effort to help support retired K9 Bane (St. Francis, WI), as he and his handler Holly McManus, navigated the devastating news that K9 Bane had Degenerative Myelopathy. The support was so overwhelming, that McManus applied for a 501c3 non-profit status with leftover funds, and in February 2024, we became official! We help handlers of families of retired working K9s navigate the healthcare and financial challenges associated with their aging partner.
