About Us

KARE is a mostly volunteer powered organization whose focus is to support our community with services to help the pets and the people who love them stay together. We offer low cost training and education. Our low income Kitsap neighbors can apply for medical and education grants funded by donations. We’re excited to announce a new initiative by KARE, aimed at empowering pet owners who are unhoused or in transitional housing. Through training sessions and providing information to connect clients with existing resources, our goal is to help these individuals better understand their dogs' behavior and how to deal with the surrounding stresses.
