LRHS has been providing a safe and compassionate shelter for lost, abused or unwanted animals since 1995. Our mission is to care for cats and dogs in need until they can be adopted, and to promote their health and welfare through community outreach and education. LRHS works with the surrounding towns of Tuftonboro, Ossipee, Wolfeboro, Wakefield, and Effingham to take in pets who are surrendered by their owners or brought in as strays.
