About Us
Lucky Dog Animal Rescue is a volunteer-powered, foster-based nonprofit dedicated to rescuing homeless, neglected, and abandoned animals from certain euthanasia and finding them loving forever homes. Our dogs and cats come from underfunded rural shelters before we bring them to the DC area to find foster and adoptive homes. The shelters we partner with -- particularly our team in Florence South Carolina -- are in constant need of supplies, and Lucky Dog is committed to ensuring those dogs and cats have what they need to get healthy before making their way to DC.
