About Us
The Michiana Humane Society enriches our community by giving pets, and the people who love them, a second chance. For over 100 years, MHS has taken in homeless dogs, cats and critters, fixed them up and found them new, loving homes. In the past few years the need has grown, with the animals we care for requiring more extensive veterinary care and behavior training. Your donation makes second chances possible! We extend our care into the community through the Feeding Hope Pet Food Pantry, available in our lobby and once a month at the Trinity Food Bank in downtown Michigan City. Pet owners in need of a bit of assistance can pick up a bag of kibble or some cans of wet food to tide them over. Your donation helps our community keep their well loved pets at home with their families. Together we can make the future better for animals throughout the community!Find Us
