In 2022, Muddy Moose Mutts saved over 150 dogs, many of which were on lists to be euthanized at the kill shelters they were in. Many came from local pounds as strays. Many were abused, neglected, and malnourished. Many were owner surrenders where the owners had died or lost their home. All were in search of a new loving forever home, and that is where Muddy Moose Mutts stepped in. Each day, taking in a new dog with unknown issues, can lead to a drastic increase in our expenses.
