About Us

Nevada Operational Canine Medical Group is a Reno-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to protecting the working dogs who protect our communities. We provide lifesaving medical equipment, training, and support to law enforcement and public safety K9 teams across Nevada. Our current initiative is equipping K9 teams from 21 agencies with Individual First Aid Kits (IFAKs) specifically designed for operational K9s. Each kit contains critical supplies that allow handlers and first responders to immediately treat traumatic injuries in the field. From hemorrhage control to airway management, these tools can mean the difference between life and death in the moments before veterinary care is available...
