About Us
New Life Center for Thoroughbreds is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit located in Wirtz, Virginia. Mission Statement We are passionately dedicated to the life of the thoroughbred whether retiring from the racetrack or found in dire circumstances. We provide thoroughbreds with a safe place to land and help them transition to a new life of love, value, and purpose while catering to each horse’s individual needs. We Rescue, Rehabilitate, Retrain, Rehome or, if needed, offer a life of gentle Retirement (5R Program) to these talented horses. We also inform and bring awareness of the kind and majestic nature of the thoroughbred through community involvement. Vision Statement To help give every thoroughbred a chance at a new life by providing the expertise and resources needed and by working in partnership with the racing industry, other horse rescues, university equine programs, associations, charities, veterinarians, and communities.Find Us
