About Us
Noah’s Ark is an unlimited intake animal shelter that does not euthanize for space. Our shelter not only takes care of the animals brought in by the City of Gainesville Animal Control but the lost and abandoned animals of all of Cooke County, Texas. Our shelter’s maximum capacity is about 120 animals, and that is when we can pair littermates or housemates. Our caring staff gives theses discarded creatures a safe haven to rest and become healthy, ready for their forever homes. We have been able to prevent inappropriate euthanasia by sending adoptable dogs North to less crowded shelters where they find loving homes within a few days.
