About Us

Since 2006, NCYR has rescued, rehabilitated and rehomed more than 1800 Yorkies and other small breed dogs. We have saved dogs that were discarded or nearly euthanized. We have transformed dogs that no one else would take a chance on. NCYR was their last hope for a new life. Shelters throughout North Carolina call us to rescue Yorkshire Terriers and Yorkie mixes that have no place else to go. We are an important resource for overwhelmed county shelters that are bursting at the seams with homeless pets and dogs for adoption. We are committed to finding the best homes for our rescues.
