Open Heart Animal Haven is a small, volunteer-run sanctuary in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Morganton, Georgia, providing lifetime care for cats, horses, and dogs with special needs — the elderly, the disabled, and the ones other places consider unadoptable.
We operate on a simple promise: every animal who comes to us lives cage-free, and stays for good. There's no adoption counter and no time limit on how long they're welcome — if they arrive, they're home. When a resident reaches the end of their life, we care for them through that too, surrounded by the same people and place that were home to them all along.
