About Us
High Country Humane is the official animal shelter for the City of Flagstaff as well as Coconino County. This is a HUGE undertaking as Coconino is the second largest county in the United States and the largest in Arizona. Our shelter has consistently received over 3,000 pet intakes each year, everything from mommas with young litters to stray guinea pigs. This shelter is dedicated to 365 days of humane and compassionate care for our animals and their caretakers. We offer adoption services, exciting foster & volunteer opportunities, along with a pet food bank and a monthly low cost vaccination clinic.
