About Us

🐾 Our Mission Paws by the Salmon River Rescue, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization committed to rescuing and protecting dogs facing abandonment, neglect, surrender, homelessness, or uncertain futures. We believe every dog deserves safety, compassion, appropriate medical care, and the opportunity for a better life—regardless of where they came from or the circumstances that brought them to us. Our work focuses on rescue, rehabilitation, veterinary care, temporary placement, and responsible adoption, while providing each dog with the individual care and support they need to move toward a permanent, loving home. Donations make this work possible. Your support helps provide food, veterinary treatment, medications, supplies, transportation, emergency care, and the day-to-day necessities required to care for dogs in need. As we grow, our goal is to expand our ability to respond when dogs need help and build a lasting resource for animals and the communities that care about them.
