About Us
When we founded our all-volunteer, not for profit organization in 1982, we stated that our initials stood for Pet Adoption and Welfare Service of Martha's Vineyard. P.A.W.S. serves the island community by helping people keep their pets in times of medical, financial or circumstantial emergencies. We provide funds for medical care, spay/neuter coupons, and most recently began our program, Food for Furry Friends. It's purpose it to provide food and other necessities to families with financial hardship. It is through the generosity of friends and benefactors of P.A.W.S. that we have been able to continue our efforts.
