Pets Return home provides unwanted & abandoned dogs a safe rehabilitation refuge on our four-acre ranch in Arizona’s beautiful Verde Valley. We take the dogs that other shelters & rescues have given up on and provide the care, love, shelter & socialization for as long as needed to evaluate & safely place them with a qualified adoptive home. We provide sanctuary for unadoptable dogs & provide community services to reduce overpopulation and dog surrenders.
Philosophy
Dogs are social animals & require a social structure in which to grow. While every dog is different, their windows for learning open & close along a linear timeline that begins at three weeks of age. Many dogs are not properly cared for as puppies. We help dogs overcome this early age deficit using proven behavioral shaping techniques, individual management & a “training pack” of dogs trained to help other dogs learn proper reactions & manners. We allow all well-mannered dogs to free-range on the property & in the house.
