About Us
Play For A Stray is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit dog rescue organization whose sanctuary approach ensures that all dogs get a second chance at life. We work with shelters to rescue dogs on the euthanasia list. We also work with rescues to rescue/foster dogs that they are not able to find forever homes for. This could be because they do not show well in a shelter/kennel environment, or because they don't have the right temperament or needs to become a family dog. We create a pipeline to rescue dogs who are designated as rescue only and are scheduled for euthanasia.
