About Us
RESCUES ON85TH, a registered 501(c)(3), was formed on December 22nd, 2021 by a chance encounter with a stray, who is now named "Kurt Russell". We are a volunteer-based organization, located in Birmingham, Alabama, serving Jefferson County. We assist low-income, elderly, and veterans, struggling to care for their companion animals, due to financial difficulties. In addition to victims of domestic violence victims who reside in shelters with their companion animals. Our mission is to provide food and supplies for Cats and Dogs within our community and to educate on the importance of companion animal safety; rehome lost animals where no parent can be found.Find Us
