About Us
Rickie’s Parrot Rescue and Sanctuary of South Florida, Inc. is a 501c3 non-profit rescue organization formed in the State of Florida in 2017. Our mission is to take in parrots and birds that have been abused, neglected or who are simply losing their homes. We do not judge and know that sometimes life changes force you to give up the pets that you love. We specialize in special needs parrots as well as hospice birds. We give breeders a place to bring these babies so they have a chance at living long happy lives rather than euthanizing because they are not profitable. There is no need to give up on a parrot with special needs. Like humans, they learn to adapt…and they do live long happy lives.
