Mission Riverwood Therapeutic Riding Center provides professional equine assisted services to individuals impacted by social, emotional, developmental, physical or other disabilities . Vision Statement Riverwood strengthens communities by providing an inclusive and supportive environment where individuals impacted by disabilities grow and thrive through the profound connection between people, horses, and the natural world. About Riverwood Equine assisted activities help to improve muscle tone, balance, posture, coordination and motor development as well as emotional well-being. Incorporated in 1997, Riverwood is a 501 (c)(3) charitable corporation serving 65 individuals weekly. We are a PATH Intl. (Professional Association of Therapeutic Horsemanship International) Premier Accredited center with nationally certified instructors. Riverwood is located among 53 acres in Tobaccoville, NC and serves Forsyth, Yadkin, Stokes, Surry and Davie Counties.Find Us
