The mission of Satsuma Valley Cat Coalition is to work with volunteers, local government and our community as a whole to lower the overwhelming population of unaltered cats in our area, through implementing a trap, neuter and return (TNR) program. Through this program we will humanely trap and neuter/spay as many community cats as possible with the help of volunteers and also educate our community about the benefits of TNR and community cats.
While we ultimately focus on returning the cats and kittens to their original locations, this is sometimes not possible due to safety issues or with young kittens. In these instances we place the kittens in foster homes and work to domesticate them so they can be adopted out and for the older feral cats we work to slowly introduce them into other established colonies or submit them into barn cat programs.
