About Us
Shady Brook Animal Rescue has played an invaluable part to the welfare of homeless cat communities in the Manhattan and Bronx areas for decades. Through TNR programs, we have been able to control the population numbers, while also providing urgent medical care, and finding furever homes for hundreds of homeless cats in the NYC area.
In addition, we have also opened our home to over 20 aging, injured, and terminally ill cats, who have proven to be less adoptable (as the cost of round-the-clock medical care is often too much for people who are looking to adopt).
As you can imagine, in a metropolitan area as big as New York City, our work is never done. And while we have been largely self-funded over the years, we are becoming desperately reliant on the help of communities and citizens like you, whose donations (whether through food or funding), helps keep us operating and able to tend to these less-fortunate beings in search of a loving home to call their own.
