Sheltering Animals of Abuse Victims (SAAV) plays a unique role in the fight against family violence. We recognize animals as vital family members and arrange for their safe harbor at a time of critical need -- when a domestic abuse victims seeks refuge from an abuser. Through a foster network located in Dane County, Wisconsin, we provide shelter for up to 90 days for pets, via a collaboration with Domestic Abuse Intervention Services and the Dane County Humane Society.
