Sierra Wildlife Rescue (SWR) is focused on the preservation of El Dorado County’s wildlife, by rescuing and rehabilitating injured and/or orphaned wildlife species and releasing them back into the wild as permitted by the Department of Fish and Wildlife. SWR also provides education programs to schools, community organizations, and the public on wildlife conservation.
SWR is run by volunteers and we do not receive government funding. We have trained volunteers that care for and rehabilitate the animals and birds. Once healthy, they are released back into the wild.
