About Us
Our organization is committed to keeping animals safe and ensuring that they are experience optimal wellbeing. A few wait to find their forever homes while others live out their days in our sanctuary for life program. Our sanctuary's core mission is to admit special needs at at-risk animals, including horses, dogs, cats, and snakes specifically; and, other livestock, reptiles, and companion animals as space allows. What does special needs mean? These are animals with chronic medical conditions requiring frequent veterinary visits and on-gong care, those with emotional and behavioral needs that go beyond what typical training and behavior modification providers can accommodate, those who require special diets and nutrition, and those who are elderly/geriatric and abandoned by their humans because they are old or who lose their humans due to deaths in the family. We use Fear Free, Low-stress Handling, and cooperative care, provide complex enrichment, and individualized care.
