About Us
Springfield Humane Society is a small shelter with a big heart doing big things! We not only take in unwanted and homeless or stray animals, but we also offer spay/neuter clinics, microchip clinics, vaccine clinics and we have a pet food pantry for those in need! We work closely with local police departments on animal cruelty cases. Our cats wait for their forever homes in cat rooms that have climbing towers, toys, scratching posts, catnip, and everything a kitty could want, including cat playmates! Our dogs are in state-of-the-art kennels with music therapy, aromatherapy, and lots of brain toys to prevent boredom. We have two large fenced areas for off-leash play, and a large field for leash walks! Our spay-the-mom program is for people whose cat or dog just had a litter - we take in mom and the babies, spay mom, vaccinate, microchip for $10! We have several other programs available to help our community and the pets they love! Join our volunteer program to make a difference!
