About Us

The Haven at Skanda supports love, hope, and possibilities for rescued farm animals and some endangered breeds. Skanda takes in rescued farm animals from all over the country and supports them to recover from abuse and neglect and emerge as who they really are. Because the animals become such loving role models, Skanda offers programs for people, and especially for our community's most vulnerable children recovering from their own experiences of trauma, to experience the incredible love the animals offer, and discover new possibilities.
