About Us
The Shire is a 501c3 non-profit animal rescue and lifetime sanctuary organization. We are located and licensed in the state of Alabama. The rescue specializes in end-of-life care for senior dogs 10 years and older. Those that are under 10 years of age (8,9), are considered on a case-by-case basis. We are dedicated to Senior APBT, AST, SBT, and American Bully breeds only. We provide a lifetime sanctuary for those who need shelter, medical care, etc. Most importantly we provide all the love and dignity they need until it’s their time to cross the Rainbow Bridge. Rarely are we graced to work diligently in finding them their next Furever home.
