About Us
Thompson Tails Sanctuary is a nonprofit organization 501 (c)(3) that provides a foster based program to rescue German Shepherd and high-mix dogs from shelters, where they are at a high risk of being euthanized. We provide an owner referral program that works with owners who need to find a new home for their dog. Many of our K-9s will be trained and added into our therapy program which will visit nursing homes and hospitals. Our shepherds provide the needed comfort, emotional and support therapy to residents and patients.
