About Us
“We strive to protect vulnerable equine that need a safe place to recover from abuse and neglect, to preserve rare breeds nearly lost forever, educate the public about the true value of equine to our history and culture, and promote the need for research to provide the veterinary community with long needed knowledge about wild horses and donkeys.” Wild horses (mustangs) and donkeys (burros) are facing a loss of habitat spurred by industry. Domestic donkeys are being shipped across the border for slaughter. Rare breeds are disappearing without outcry. Medically little is known about donkeys. Negative attitudes about donkeys persist. Everything we do at TMR Rescue is focused on our quest. We promote horses, donkeys and mules while educating the public with tours and volunteer programs. Protecting wild horses and burros and preserving rare breeds is vital. We know we can do even more with the continued support we so generously receive. Our work must continue.Find Us
