About Us
In January 2019, Twine Barn Sanctuary’s Founder and President, Crystal Coan, began fostering horses who had been at a local horse rescue for years. As word spread, she began receiving calls about various animals that needed rescuing, rehabilitation, new homes and/or a new purpose. This would lead to a life long dream coming true; Twine Barn Sanctuary, a place where animals in need can heal, thrive and teach humans the power of compassion and connection. Whether we’re teaching a class(room) about various animals through one of our educational programs; sharing the animal’s stories during a tour at our mini-farm in Parkland, FL; or delivering a message of love and compassion for animals in need through social and traditional media campaigns, we believe that education is a key component to initiating change.
