About Us

Uplifting Paws is a women-led and volunteer based organization that was founded with the mission to provide service dogs to those with disabilities, including psychiatric service dogs. According to Assistance Dog International, the worldwide use of service dogs has increased by 54.6% from 2017 to 2018, with an overall increase of 90.42% for psychiatric service dogs. There are very few organizations in the Lincoln, Nebraska area that provide psychiatric service dogs, and Uplifting Paws is proud to help meet this need in our community.
